As a Sports and Recreation intern, your primary role will be to assist the Community Development Finance directorate. You will help control key performance and result indicators, ensuring that all assets and insurance are reported accurately. Additionally, the role involves addressing compliance requirements related to Supply Chain Management, budgeting, and accounting. Qualifications

To qualify for this internship, applicants must meet the following requirements:

  • Education: A Grade 12 qualification or equivalent (NQF level 4) is required. Additionally, applicants must have a relevant tertiary qualification with a specific focus on Sports and Recreation (NQF level 6).
  • Confirmation Letter: If you are still a student, a confirmation letter from your institution will be required.
  • Computer Literacy: Proficiency in basic computer skills is essential.
  • Residency: Only residents of the City of Johannesburg will be considered for this internship.

Key Performance Areas

As a Sports and Recreation intern, you will be responsible for several critical tasks within the Community Development department. These tasks include:

  1. Asset Management: Implement and control specific procedures, systems, and controls related to asset management within the department. Ensure all assets are accurately reported and managed efficiently.
  2. Supply Chain Management: Handle all processes associated with the City’s Supply Chain Management policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with COJ standards.
