The City of Tshwane Emergency Services Department is hiring General Workers to join its team at fire stations across the city. With four (4) posts available, this opportunity is perfect for individuals ready to contribute to community safety and infrastructure support. The primary objective of the General Worker position is to ensure efficient and effective cleaning, furniture removal, infrastructure maintenance, and horticultural services for the Emergency Services Department.

Key Responsibilities

As a General Worker, your duties will include:

  • Cleaning buildings, terrains, and vehicle bays.
  • Assisting with moving furniture, equipment, and other items as needed.
  • Providing horticultural services, such as grass cutting and plant maintenance.

Minimum Requirements

To qualify for the position, you need to meet the following criteria:

  • Basic literacy skills.
  • Relevant experience in performing hard labour.
  • Be physically fit and healthy, with no musculoskeletal issues.
  • Willingness to undergo a medical evaluation.
  • Flexibility to work standby and overtime if required.
