- Remuneration Scale: R150,048.00 – R175,368.00 per annum
- Total Package: Estimated at R222,917.00 – R255,145.00 per annum
- Location: City of Tshwane Landfill Sites or Transfer Stations

The primary objective of this role is to assist in the smooth operation of landfill sites or transfer stations. This involves ensuring compliance with permit conditions, maintaining cleanliness, inspecting waste, directing vehicles, and ensuring that site infrastructure, access routes, and equipment are kept in optimal condition.
Key Responsibilities
As a General Worker, you will:
- Maintain Site Cleanliness:
- Ensure landfill and garden sites remain compliant with permit conditions and are consistently clean.
- Clean and maintain offices, site infrastructure, and equipment.
- Remove weeds and clear stormwater channels or trenches to prevent blockages.
- Waste Management:
- Inspect incoming vehicles to verify that only authorised waste is transported on-site.
- Direct vehicles to designated dumping areas for waste offloading.
- Keep access roads clear of litter and debris.
- Safety and Compliance:
- Adhere to all occupational health and safety regulations.
- Report non-compliance incidents or issues to the immediate supervisor.
Requirements to Apply

- Skills and Experience:
- Ability to perform assigned duties efficiently.
- Basic literacy is required.
- Prior experience in waste management will be advantageous.
- Physical Fitness:
- Candidates should be physically fit, healthy, and capable of performing labor-intensive tasks in challenging conditions.
- Work Conditions:
