Job Description:
The main purpose of the Shop Assistant / Cashier role is to support the in-store team by performing critical retail functions that ensure a smooth and customer-friendly shopping experience. Requirements:

• Essential: Grade 12 / Matric
• Desirable: Minimum 50% in Mathematics and English at Grade 12 level
• Advantageous: Retail experience, preferably in a customer-facing role within an FMCG environment

Role Responsibility:

• Efficiently manage all operational activities at the Point of Sale (POS) to ensure seamless customer transactions
• Accurately scan items, handle payments, and process clubcard rewards and discounts
• Ensure all cash handling procedures are followed in compliance with company policy and safety standards
• Proactively promote the Clicks ClubCard loyalty program and sign up new customers to meet membership growth targets
• Inform customers of ongoing promotions and in-store deals to encourage product purchases and boost sales
• Provide exceptional customer service by welcoming shoppers, answering inquiries, and resolving minor issues professionally
• Uphold company standards through merchandising duties such as product displays, stock replenishment, and general housekeeping

• Maintain current knowledge of product ranges, pricing, and special promotions to offer informed suggestions and solutions to customers
