This role is an exceptional opportunity to be part of a prestigious sales team dedicated to maintaining optimal stock levels and enhancing the overall shopping experience for our valued customers. As a Merchandiser, you will ensure our products are displayed attractively and efficiently, aligning with Clover’s esteemed reputation for quality and excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

Stock Control & Order Management:

  • Accurate Stock Handling: Implement precise stock control measures both in-store and in backup areas, ensuring Clover products are handled with utmost care and efficiency.
  • Minimize Returns: Strategically minimize and document returns in alignment with the store’s work plan, thereby reducing wastage and ensuring stock availability.
  • Avoid Stock Shortages: Proactively prevent out-of-stock situations by maintaining constant communication with the Area Manager (AM) and placing timely, accurate orders.
  • Organized Display: Ensure products on shelves are clean, neatly arranged, and well-maintained to enhance visual appeal and customer satisfaction.
  • Crate and Equipment Management: Adhere to company policies for crate and equipment control to maintain operational efficiency and orderliness.

Merchandising Excellence:

  • Shelf Control: Apply effective shelf control strategies as per the indicated store and shelf plans, ensuring optimal product placement and visibility.
  • Store Flow Compliance: Pack shelves in accordance with Store Flow guidelines provided by the AM, following fundamental merchandising rules to maximize product exposure.
  • Fridge Maintenance: Ensure that the fridge is consistently well-maintained, clean, and organized, reflecting Clover’s commitment to quality and freshness.
  • Planogram Adherence: Maintain the specified shelf setup according to provided planograms or generic shelf sets, ensuring consistency and brand alignment.
  • Point-of-Sale Material: Strategically place and maintain point-of-sale materials in allocated positions to boost product visibility and promotional effectiveness.
  • Administrative Duties: Handle relevant administrative tasks with precision and attention to detail, ensuring seamless operations and accurate record-keeping.
  • Opportunity Exploitation: Identify and leverage all opportunities within the store to enhance the presence and prominence of Clover products on the shelves.

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • Educational Background: Grade 12 or equivalent NQF4 qualification is mandatory, ensuring a solid foundation for the role.
  • Language Proficiency: Fluent in Business English, enabling clear and effective communication within the team and with customers.
  • Flexibility: Willingness to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays, demonstrating commitment and adaptability to varying work schedules.
