Clover, one of South Africa’s most trusted and established FMCG brands, is on the lookout for a dynamic and customer-centric Sales Representative for Emerging Markets. This full-time role is stationed in Polokwane, reporting directly to the Regional Sales Manager. The core responsibility is to grow the sales volume of Clover’s diverse product range—including Principal products—by establishing and maintaining effective relationships with retail outlets in emerging markets.

Tasks
- Grow product sales in target stores across assigned routes
- Plan and execute daily route schedules and call cycles
- Conduct professional sales administration tasks
- Engage directly with store-level clients and managers
- Understand and respond to customer needs with practical solutions
- Establish new business relationships to expand buying customer base
- Deliver consistent service to customers by following structured sales processes
- Build and maintain excellent client relations
- Provide sales support aligned with customer expectations
- Monitor stock levels and ensure constant availability
- Reduce stock returns by maintaining quality and service levels
- Ensure optimal product facings and visibility in-store
- Track and report on sales performance by outlet and product category
- Implement negotiated pricing and promotional strategies
- Monitor fridge compliance and product freshness
- Promote full basket penetration of Principal products
- Negotiate and expand product range through up-selling and cross-selling
- Launch new products effectively with adequate promotional material
Qualifications
- Grade 12 / Matric Certificate (NQF Level 4)
- National Diploma (advantageous in Sales, Marketing, or Business Management)
- Fluent in Business English
- Valid Code 10 Driver’s License
Experience & Competencies
- Previous experience in a sales or customer-facing role within FMCG is advantageous
- Strong influencing and negotiation skills
- Action-oriented with the ability to solve problems creatively
