What is Coca-Cola Visual Merchandiser Learnership?

The Coca-Cola Visual Merchandiser Learnership is a structured training programme designed to prepare learners for roles in sales and merchandising. Participants will gain valuable experience in servicing customers, growing product volume, supporting sales processes, and applying merchandising standards across retail outlets. The programme also offers mentorship and hands-on exposure to the fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) industry.

Minimum Requirements

To qualify for this learnership, applicants must meet the following:

  • Grade 12 with Mathematics or Mathematical Literacy (minimum 40%)
  • Grade 12 English and one additional language (minimum 40%)
  • South African citizenship
  • Age between 18 and 35 years old
  • Willingness to work six days per week
  • Employment Equity candidates preferred
  • No criminal or credit record
  • Consent to background checks
  • Not currently enrolled in another learnership or full-time programme
  • Not previously completed the same qualification or learnership
  • Unemployed at the time of application
  • A valid driver’s licence is an advantage
  • Post-matric qualification in Sales or Marketing is recommended

Role Responsibility

Learners in the Visual Merchandiser Learnership will be responsible for:

  • Visiting assigned retail outlets daily (bronze and tin stores)
  • Applying Coca-Cola’s visual merchandising standards
  • Managing stock rotation to ensure product freshness
  • Setting up and maintaining attractive product displays
  • Supporting the order-taking process to drive sales growth
  • Engaging with customers and consumers to understand preferences
  • Working closely with Sales Team Members and Account Developers
