The Coega Development Corporation (CDC) has officially opened applications for the 2025 Coega Internships Programme Intake. This exciting initiative is tailored for young graduates who wish to gain valuable workplace experience and bridge the gap between academic studies and professional practice.

What is 2025 Coega Internships Programme Intake?
The Coega Internships Programme is a structured 24-month programme designed to transfer essential workplace skills and knowledge to young graduates. It offers mentorship, coaching, and hands-on exposure to different business areas within the Coega Development Corporation. The programme supports the CDC’s mandate to empower young professionals by equipping them with practical skills to enhance their employability.

Minimum Requirements:

• South African youth not older than 35 years
• Diploma (NQF Level 6), Degree (NQF Level 7), or Honours Degree (NQF Level 8)
• No previous work experience in the relevant field of study
• Demonstrated strong work ethic and professional habits
• Vibrant, energetic, and willing to learn

Role Responsibility:
Interns will:

• Participate in a structured programme of training, mentorship, and skills development
• Gain practical exposure in their specific fields of study
• Work under experienced professionals to develop competencies and workplace readiness
• Contribute to various projects aligned with the Coega Development Corporation’s mandate
• Build capacity for future career opportunities in their chosen industries

1. Operations (Location: Gqeberha)
Qualifications required:

• National Diploma in Security Management
• National Diploma in Policing
• National Diploma in Town Planning
• National Diploma in Geographical Information Systems

2. Business Development (Location: Gqeberha)
Qualifications required:

• National Diploma in Process, Chemical, or Electrical Engineering
• National Diploma in Energy Management
• National Diploma in Industrial Engineering

3. ICT, Research, and Strategy (Location: Gqeberha)
Qualifications required:

• National Diploma in Software Development
