Key Responsibilities:
As a Cleaner within the Northern Cape Department of Health, you will be expected to carry out various duties to ensure a clean and safe environment for patients, staff, and visitors. These responsibilities include:
- Provision of Cleaning Services:
- Collect and remove waste papers, ensuring cleanliness of office areas.
- Empty and clean dirt bins, dusting and waxing of office furniture.
- Clean walls, windows, doors, and floors (sweeping, scrubbing, waxing, vacuuming, and shampooing).
- Clean general kitchen areas and refill supplies such as hand wash liquid soap, toilet paper, hand towels, and air fresheners.
- Maintenance of Cleaning Materials and Equipment:
- Report broken cleaning machines and equipment.
- Clean machines and equipment (e.g., microwaves, vacuum cleaners) after use.
- Request and manage cleaning materials efficiently.
