Candidates must have a relevant nursing qualification, be registered with the South African Nursing Council (SANC), and possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Requirements:

  • Basic R425 qualification (i.e. Diploma/degree in nursing)
  • equivalent qualification that allows registration with the South African Nursing Council as a Professional Nurse.
  • Current registration with the South African Nursing Council

Duties :

  • Demonstrate effective communication with patient, supervisors and other clinicians including report writing.
  • Work as part of a multidisciplinary team to ensure quality care is offer.
  • Display concern for patients, promoting and advocating proper treatment and care and willingness to respond to patient’s needs.
  • Able to plan and organise own work and that of support personnel to ensure proper nursing care.
  • Perform clinical nursing practice in accordance with the scope of practice, nursing standards and quality assurance standards.
  • Demonstrate an understanding of nursing legislation and related legal and ethical nursing practice.
  • Willing to rotate through the departments.
  • Promote quality of nursing care as directed by the professional scope of practice and standards.
  • Work as a team player.
  • Guide and teach or mentor those in a level under you.
