Requirements:
- Basic R425 qualification (i.e. Diploma/degree in nursing)
- equivalent qualification that allows registration with the South African Nursing Council as a Professional Nurse.
- Current registration with the South African Nursing Council
Duties :
- Demonstrate effective communication with patient, supervisors and other clinicians including report writing.
- Work as part of a multidisciplinary team to ensure quality care is offer.
- Display concern for patients, promoting and advocating proper treatment and care and willingness to respond to patient’s needs.
- Able to plan and organise own work and that of support personnel to ensure proper nursing care.
- Perform clinical nursing practice in accordance with the scope of practice, nursing standards and quality assurance standards.
- Demonstrate an understanding of nursing legislation and related legal and ethical nursing practice.
- Willing to rotate through the departments.
- Promote quality of nursing care as directed by the professional scope of practice and standards.
- Work as a team player.
- Guide and teach or mentor those in a level under you.
