What is the Department of Women, Youth and Persons with Disabilities (DWYPD) Internship Programme?

The DWYPD Internship Programme is a 24-month fixed-term initiative designed to equip graduates with practical workplace skills. Beyond traditional training, interns will actively contribute to shaping inclusive policies and initiatives that support social justice and equality.

Minimum Requirements

Applicants must:

• Be South African citizens.
• Be unemployed graduates aged between 18 and 35 years.
• Possess the relevant qualification for the position applied for.
• Have no prior participation in an internship within the public service sector.

Role Responsibility

Successful candidates will:

• Participate in policy research, advocacy campaigns, and programme implementation.
• Contribute to monitoring and evaluation processes within assigned projects.
• Support stakeholder engagement and capacity-building initiatives.
• Assist with departmental reporting, data analysis, and knowledge management.
