What is DHET: National Skills Fund (NSF) Internship Programme 2025?
The NSF Internship Programme is a 24-month structured initiative aimed at providing unemployed graduates with work experience across a range of government operational areas. The programme supports graduates by:

Minimum Requirements
- Must be a South African citizen
- Must be unemployed and have no prior public sector internship experience
- Must hold a National Diploma, Bachelor’s Degree, or N6 Certificate in a relevant field
- Foreign qualifications must be evaluated by the South African Qualifications Authority (SAQA)
- Must be willing to commit to a 24-month fixed-term internship
Role Responsibilities
- Assist with daily operational tasks within the assigned department
- Support project management and administrative duties
- Participate in training and skills development sessions
- Help achieve departmental objectives by contributing to team efforts
- Maintain accurate records and prepare reports as required
- Work collaboratively with supervisors and colleagues
- Uphold professionalism and adhere to public service standards
