As a DIRCO Cadet, you’ll be immersed in the dynamic world of international relations, working alongside experienced diplomats and gaining practical skills in areas such as:
- Policy analysis and research: Contributing to the development of South Africa’s foreign policy positions.
- Diplomacy and negotiation: Assisting in representing South Africa at international forums and bilateral meetings.
- Consular services: Providing support to South African citizens abroad.
- Protocol and etiquette: Learning the intricacies of diplomatic protocol and procedures.

Requirements:
- Minimum NQF level 7 qualification in International Relations, African Studies, Political Science, Economics, Law, International Trade and Investment, Political Economy, Development Studies, Development Economics, Public Governance/Administration, or a related field.
- South African citizen between 18-35 years of age at the closing date of the advertisement.
- Strong academic record.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and analytical skills.
- Computer literacy.
- Passion for international affairs and diplomacy.
