DIRCO x15 General Internship Programme 2025-2027 The Department of International Relations and Cooperation (DIRCO) is excited to announce its General Internship Programme for 2025-2027. This is a fantastic opportunity for unemployed South African graduates to gain valuable work experience in the field of international relations. We are seeking highly motivated and talented individuals with a passion for diplomacy and a commitment to public service.

  • Stipend: R7,450.63 per month

This 24-month internship programme will provide successful candidates with practical experience in various aspects of international relations and diplomacy. Interns will have the opportunity to work alongside experienced professionals, contribute to meaningful projects, and develop essential skills in a dynamic and challenging environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with research and analysis on international relations issues.
  • Support the preparation of briefing materials and reports.
  • Participate in meetings and conferences.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of DIRCO initiatives.
  • Provide administrative and logistical support to various departments.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • South African citizen between 18 and 35 years of age.
  • Minimum NQF level 7 qualification (Bachelor’s degree) in one of the following fields:
    • Tourism & Hospitality Management
    • Supply Chain Management
    • Records Management/Information Science
    • Graphic Design & Communications
    • Human Resource Management
    • Public Administration
  • Excellent communication (verbal and written) and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Proficiency in computer literacy.
  • Customer focus and responsiveness.
  • Initiative and a sense of responsibility.
