Dis-Chem Pharmacies is seeking experienced Cashiers to join our team at the Berea Pharmacy store in East London. As a Cashier, you’ll play a vital role in providing excellent customer service and ensuring smooth transactions at the point of sale.
Job Description
- Customer Service: Provide friendly and efficient service to every customer, addressing their needs and resolving any issues that may arise.
- Transaction Processing: Accurately process sales, refunds, and payments using the Dis-Chem operating system.
- Cash Handling: Handle cash, bank cards, vouchers, and other forms of payment with precision and security.
- Loss Prevention: Adhere to Dis-Chem’s security policies and procedures to minimize the risk of fraud and theft.
- Teamwork: Collaborate effectively with colleagues to ensure a positive shopping experience for all customers.
Qualifications and Skills
- Minimum Requirements:
- Grade 12 / Matric
- At least 6 months of cashier or till operations experience
- Computer literacy (MS Office)
- Sound numerical skills
- Strong command of the English language
- Basic customer service skills
- Willingness to work retail hours

- In-depth knowledge of cash registers and cash handling
