Job Description: Code 10 Drivers with PDP
DSV Global Transport and Logistics is actively seeking experienced Code 10 Drivers with a valid Professional Driving Permit (PDP) to join our dynamic team in Durban.
Key Responsibilities:
- Safely and punctually transporting employees and company materials to designated locations.
- Maintaining a clean and well-organized vehicle to uphold company standards.
- Conducting thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance.
- Adhering strictly to traffic laws and company safety protocols during transportation.
- Assisting with the loading and unloading of equipment and materials as required.
- Implementing security measures to safeguard valuable materials during transit.
- Promptly reporting any vehicle maintenance or safety concerns to management.
- Keeping detailed records of vehicle maintenance, fuel consumption, and trips.
- Supporting general office tasks when necessary.
Candidate Requirements:
To be considered for this role, candidates must meet the following criteria:
- Education: Matric/High School Certificate.
- Experience: Proven track record with a minimum of 10 years of professional driving experience for a reputable company.
- License: Valid Code 10 Driver’s License with an operational history of at least 10 years and an active PDP.
- Clearances: No criminal record and must maintain sobriety (non-alcoholic).
- Skills and Knowledge:
- Comprehensive understanding of traffic laws and regulations.
- Proficiency in using GPS and other navigation tools.
- Ability to read and interpret road signs and maps effectively.
- Expertise in vehicle inspections, including checking fluids, tire pressure, and brakes.
- Awareness and response to potential road hazards.
