As a Learner Boilermaker, you’ll be involved in a comprehensive apprenticeship program designed to equip you with the skills and knowledge necessary to become a qualified artisan. You will work alongside experienced professionals, gaining practical experience in:
- Boilermaking techniques: Welding, cutting, shaping, and assembling metal components.
- Maintenance and repair: Inspecting, maintaining, and repairing boilers, pressure vessels, and other related equipment.
- Safety procedures: Adhering to strict safety protocols and standards within the mining environment.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Grade 12 Certificate with Mathematics or Mathematical Literacy
- Background in Physical Science, Technical Drawing, and Welding & Metal Work (advantageous)
- Strong work ethic and a willingness to learn
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
