What is Eskom Youth Employment Service (YES) 2025/2026: Unlocking Career Opportunities?
The Eskom YES Programme is designed to provide unemployed youth with meaningful workplace experience. Participants are placed within Eskom’s operations across South Africa on a 12-month fixed-term contract. The aim is to empower young people who have not previously held long-term permanent employment and have never registered for YES.
Minimum Requirements:
To qualify, applicants must meet the following criteria:
- Must be a South African citizen aged 18 to 34
- Hold a Grade 12 certificate or equivalent (post-matric programmes are also accepted)
- Must not have been permanently employed by one employer for more than one year
- Must not be studying full-time during the programme year
- Must not have previously participated in the YES Programme
Role Responsibility:
Participants will:
- Gain valuable workplace exposure across Eskom operations
- Contribute to Eskom’s daily functions under supervision
- Learn practical skills relevant to the energy industry
- Adhere to company policies, procedures, and professional standards
