About the UJ W&RSETA Bursary Programme
Fields Covered
The UJ W&RSETA Bursary Programme for 2024 is open to Master’s and PhD students interested in advancing their studies in:
- Retail Business Management
- Retail Marketing
- Wholesale and Retail
- Wholesale Business Development
Expenses Covered
The bursary covers full annual study fees, as well as expenses related to data collection and language editing, ensuring financial barriers do not impede academic progress.
Eligibility Requirements for the UJ W&RSETA Bursary
To be eligible for the UJ W&RSETA Bursary, applicants must meet the following criteria:
- Must be a South African citizen or permanent resident.
- Must be enrolled or intending to pursue Master’s or PhD studies in the specified fields at UJ.
- For Master’s degree applicants: Must have completed an Honours degree in Marketing or Retailing with at least 60% in Research Methodology on NQF level 8 and an overall degree average of 60% or higher.
- For PhD degree applicants: Must have completed a Master’s degree in Marketing or Retailing with at least 65% in the Master’s programme and 60% in Research Methodology on NQF level 8.
- Must have an approved Master’s or PhD proposal focused on the specified study areas.
