As a First Officer, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safety and efficiency of our flights. Your responsibilities will include:
- Assisting the Captain in operating the aircraft and navigating flight routes.
- Monitoring aircraft systems and responding to any abnormalities.
- Conducting pre-flight, in-flight, and post-flight checks and procedures.
- Communicating with air traffic control and other relevant parties.
- Maintaining a high level of situational awareness and ensuring the safety of all passengers and crew.
Requirements:
To qualify for this position, you must meet the following requirements:
- Grade 12 or equivalent.
- SACAA Commercial Pilot License (essential).
- SACAA Airline Transport Pilot License (preferred).
- Class 1 SACAA Medical Certificate (essential).
- Type-rated on Boeing aircraft (advantageous).
- Minimum of 1500 flight hours, including 500 hours on multi-turbine aircraft.
- Multi-crew experience (essential).
- No existing medical conditions.
- Willing to sign applicable training bonds.
- No criminal record.
- Willing to undergo drug and alcohol testing.
- Own transport and a valid RSA driver’s license.
- South African citizen with proof of identity.
- Valid RSA passport.
- Must be willing to work irregular hours on a roster.
- Detailed knowledge of national and international aviation regulations.
