Job Description
As a General Worker, your primary role will be to assist in the daily operations of tailings management, ensuring that all processes are carried out in accordance with company standards and safety protocols. The position is hands-on, physically demanding, and highly collaborative, suited for individuals with a strong work ethic and the ability to work effectively in a mining environment.

Key Duties Include:

• Collaborate with team leaders or supervisors to meet daily operational targets
• Conduct daily inspections in designated areas of responsibility
• Plan and manage tailings material handling and deposition
• Identify and assist in solving operational issues, reporting deviations as necessary
• Comply with disciplinary and procedural standards of the company
• Follow all relevant health and safety regulations and ensure personal safety
• Execute tasks such as pipeline extension and connection
• Operate and monitor valves according to operational standards
• Maintain cleanliness and orderliness in the workplace through good housekeeping
• Take accountability for performance and demonstrate commitment to team goals

Requirements

Educational Qualifications:

• Grade 12 / Matric certificate is mandatory

Experience:

• Between 0 to 2 years of working experience in a similar environment, preferably in tailings or mining operations

General Requirements:

• Understanding of standard operating procedures (SOPs) relevant to mining and tailings work
• Must be medically fit to work in the mining environment
• Willingness to undergo and pass the mine’s criminal screening and background checks
• Ability to work overtime when required
