Requirements:
Candidates must hold a qualification that permits registration with the South African Nursing Council (SANC) as a Staff Nurse (Enrolled Nurse) and maintain current registration with SANC. This role is essential in ensuring the effective delivery of health services at Sebokeng Hospital.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
The Staff Nurse Grade 1 will work closely with Professional Nurses to provide comprehensive health care. Duties include:
- Preparing patients for diagnostic and surgical procedures.
- Assisting with clinical procedures to ensure quality patient care.
- Monitoring, interpreting, and recording vital signs, a critical component of patient health monitoring.
- Ordering stock and equipment in a cost-effective manner, contributing to the efficient operation of the hospital.
- Assisting patients with mobility and providing support for elimination procedures, ensuring patient comfort and dignity.
- Maintaining patients’ hygiene, such as bed bathing, to promote overall health and well-being.
- Providing nutrition to patients, supporting their recovery and overall health outcomes.
