Key Responsibilities
As a Professional Nurse General, your primary duties will involve:
- Nursing Plan Implementation: Provide direction and supervision for the implementation of the nursing plan, ensuring quality patient care in clinical practice.
- Quality Assurance: Implement standards, practices, criteria, and indicators to ensure high-quality nursing services.
- Legal Compliance: Practice nursing in line with relevant laws and regulations governing health care.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Maintain a positive working relationship with nursing teams and other stakeholders.
- Resource Management: Ensure efficient and effective use of human, material, and physical resources.
Requirements
Applicants must meet the following qualifications to be considered:
- Education: A Diploma in Nursing (R.171) or a Degree in Nursing (R.174). Additionally, a basic R425 qualification (Diploma/Degree in nursing) or an equivalent qualification that allows registration with the South African Nursing Council (SANC) as a Professional Nurse.
- Registration: Current registration with the SANC as a General Registered Nurse and as a Professional Nurse.
