Qualifications and Requirements:
To be considered for this role, applicants must have:
- A qualification that allows registration with the South African Nursing Council (SANC) as an Enrolled Nursing Assistant.
- Proof of current registration with SANC as an Enrolled Nursing Assistant will be required from shortlisted candidates.
Key Responsibilities:
The successful candidates will be responsible for:
- Providing nursing care that improves health service delivery by adhering to the Batho Pele principles and 6 Ministerial Priorities.
- Executing duties and functions efficiently and in line with the scope of practice.
- Ensuring the supervision and provision of the basic needs of patients, including oxygen supply, nutrition, fluid elimination, electrolyte balance, and maintaining a safe therapeutic environment.
- Screening patients for health conditions such as TB, HIV, and COVID-19.
- Implementing standards, practices, and criteria to maintain quality nursing.
- Reporting any abnormalities to professional nurses and ensuring ongoing patient observation.
- Maintaining constructive working relationships with nursing staff and other stakeholders.
- Ensuring proper utilization of human, material, and financial resources.
- Collaborating with a team to deliver comprehensive healthcare.
