Background & Job Description

The Gauteng Department of Roads and Transport is inviting skilled and motivated individuals to apply for the Chief Administrative Clerk position in the Service Delivery & Rapid Response unit. This contract-based role plays a critical part in supporting the department’s Stakeholder Management initiatives.

Tasks

  • Supervise and coordinate general clerical support activities

Qualifications

  • Minimum Academic Requirement:
    • Grade 12 (Matric) or equivalent qualification at NQF Level 4

Experience

  • Required Experience:
    • A minimum of 3 years’ relevant administrative experience in the public sector or a similar environment
  • Essential Skills:
    • Computer literacy (MS Office Suite)
    • Planning and organizing
    • Excellent verbal and written communication
    • Strong interpersonal relations
    • Ability to work in a team and adapt to flexible work demands
  • Knowledge Base:
    • Thorough understanding of the Public Service legislative framework
    • Solid job knowledge and ability to execute administrative policies and procedures effectively
