Job Description
As a Grants Administrator, your core responsibility is to ensure the smooth processing of social grant applications and maintenance, directly contributing to SASSA’s mission to provide timely and efficient grant services to citizens.
Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:
- Delivering quality customer care services related to grants
- Capturing and processing grant applications with accuracy
- Managing beneficiary information and maintenance
- Coordinating medical assessments and bookings
- Offering mobile/off-site services for remote grant applicants
- Scanning, batching, and maintaining application documentation
This role requires a combination of customer service skills, administrative accuracy, and field readiness, especially when working with beneficiaries in diverse communities.
Requirements
To qualify for this position, candidates must meet the following minimum requirements:
- A Senior Certificate (Matric / NQF Level 4)
- A relevant National Diploma (NQF Level 6) or Bachelor’s Degree (NQF Level 7)
- Computer literacy – strong knowledge of MS Office Suite
- Valid Driver’s License – will be an added advantage
- Administrative or clerical experience – beneficial but not compulsory
