Job Description
As a Sales Representative, you will be responsible for selling and promoting the Heineken Beverages Brand Portfolio within your assigned geographical region. Your core mission will be to ensure optimal product availability, visibility, pricing, and promotions while cultivating strong relationships with customers.

Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Grow market share through targeted sales and relationship strategies
  • Ensure Accessibility, Availability, Activation, and Affordability (4A Strategy) for all Heineken products
  • Drive Recommended Selling Price (RSP) compliance across sales channels
  • Implement a brand portfolio approach, covering Beer, Wine, Spirits, and Ready-To-Drink (RTD) products
  • Execute price-driven promotions and ensure compliance with power pack agreements
  • Develop long-term partnerships with customers by understanding their business needs
  • Maintain consistent call strike rates and conduct regular store visits
  • Champion continuous improvement and identify business process enhancements
  • Uphold and exhibit core Heineken Behaviours within the team and with stakeholders

Requirements
To be successful in this role, applicants must meet the following educational and professional criteria:

  • Educational Qualifications:
    • Relevant Tertiary Qualification (Diploma or Degree) in Sales, Marketing, Business, or a related field
  • Professional Experience:
    • 2-3 years’ experience in an FMCG sales environment or similar role
    • Proven success in customer relationship management and territory growth
    • Experience with price execution, brand promotions, and retail distribution
    • A valid Code 08 Driver’s License with no endorsements and a minimum of 2 years’ driving experience
  • Other Requirements:
    • Willingness to work weekends and participate in product promotions
    • Residency or ability to work in South Africa

Role Responsibility
As part of Heineken’s frontline sales team, you will be a brand ambassador, playing a vital role in ensuring brand visibility and strong trade relationships. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Executing planned sales activities and evaluating outcomes
  • Aligning trade execution with marketing campaigns and promotions
  • Monitoring competitor activities and providing market intelligence
  • Taking ownership of territory planning, stock management, and display execution
  • Working collaboratively with cross-functional teams to ensure full customer satisfaction
  • Managing and reporting on sales volumes, route performance, and stock levels
