This opportunity is ideal for individuals passionate about customer service, gaming, and fast-paced work environments.
As a member of the Hollywoodbets Purple Team, you’ll play a crucial role in managing branch operations, taking bets, handling customer queries, managing cash transactions, and ensuring compliance with internal policies. These positions provide entry-level access into the vibrant betting and gaming industry with a company that fosters growth, innovation, and career development.
Tasks
Branch Growth & Betting Operations
- Update betting boards and ensure timely changes for memos, card results, and scratchings.
- Understand and communicate betting rules, odds, and pay-out structures.
- Adhere to confirmation limits and consult relevant authorities when placing large bets.
- Inform Team Leaders or Betting Managers about significant bets for oversight.
Sales Administration
- Monitor and manage branch cash operations efficiently.
- Remain vigilant against potential fraud or theft attempts.
Cash Management
- Confirm float amounts at the beginning of shifts.
- Conduct interim cash checks with team leaders.
- Resolve cash shortages immediately (under R250 to be paid on the same day).
- Report and record cash overs and shortages accurately.
Branch Appearance & Equipment Management
- Maintain branch cleanliness and order to meet Hollywoodbets standards.
- Ensure all equipment (TV displays, terminals, etc.) is functioning correctly.
- Promptly report malfunctions or any issues to senior team members.
Customer Service
- Offer warm, polite, and effective service to all customers.
- Handle customer complaints professionally, ensuring customer satisfaction.
- Build and sustain relationships with regular patrons.
- Promote a customer-first culture through friendly and proactive service.
Compliance & Ethics
- Comply with internal control policies and code of ethics.
- Maintain professional conduct regarding uniform use and betting procedures.
- Avoid engaging in betting activities while on duty or in uniform.
- Off-duty employees must follow protocol and not enter terminal areas.
- Prohibit the use of Limited Pay-out Machines during work hours.

Qualifications
While this is an entry-level opportunity, possessing relevant qualifications can be beneficial.
- Minimum Requirement: Matric (Grade 12) Certificate

Experience
Experience is not strictly mandatory but may offer a competitive advantage:
- 1-2 years of experience in the gaming, betting, or customer service industry is preferred
- Familiarity with betting processes, cash management, and fraud prevention is an added benefit
