About the MPRTC Recruitment Job Vacancy as Debtors Clerk 2025
MPRTC Recruitment is seeking candidates for a permanent position as a professional Debtors Clerk. The ideal candidate is reliable, detail-oriented, and capable of managing financial records with precision. Responsibilities include maintaining debtor accounts, processing payments, and ensuring timely collection of outstanding balances.

General Responsibilities as Debtors Clerk

  • Manage and maintain accurate debtor accounts
  • Process customer invoices and issue statements promptly
  • Monitor outstanding balances and follow up on overdue accounts
  • Perform reconciliations of customer accounts for accuracy
  • Allocate payments received to the correct accounts
  • Investigate and resolve account discrepancies or queries
  • Liaise with customers regarding collections and account issues
  • Prepare and submit regular debtors aging reports
  • Support month-end closing processes related to debtors
  • Ensure compliance with company credit policies and procedures
  • Collaborate with internal teams, such as sales and finance, to resolve disputes
  • Maintain accurate filing and record-keeping of debtor transactions

Minimum Requirements

  • Matric certificate (finance qualification is an advantage)
  • 3–5 years of proven experience in a Debtors role
  • Solid knowledge of debtors processes, reconciliations, and collections
  • Fincon experience or knowledge is an advantage
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
  • High attention to detail and accuracy
