HWSETA: Legal Internships 2024 HWSETA (Health and Welfare Sector Education and Training Authority) is offering Legal Internships for 2024, designed to provide recent law graduates with practical experience in the health and welfare sector. This internship program aims to develop the skills and competencies of aspiring legal professionals by involving them in various legal and regulatory aspects of HWSETA’s operations. Interns will have the opportunity to work closely with experienced legal practitioners, gaining insights into legal compliance, contract management, policy development, and other critical areas. This hands-on experience will not only enhance their understanding of the legal framework governing the health and welfare sector but also prepare them for future career opportunities within the legal field.
- Gauteng, JHB – Eastern Suburbs
- Stipend of R10 600.00 per month
The successful candidate will gain training and workplace experience within the following responsibilities:
- Provide administrative support in the Legal department
- Schedule meetings and other appointments on behalf of the Legal Officer in the Department
- Open and maintain legal files in accordance with legal practices
- Assist with handling legal administration requirements
- Organize and maintain legal documents, and case files
- Check and monitor standing instructions
- Assist the legal officer with legal research
- Assist in the development of tender contracts
- Assist with the Contracts Register by ensuring that it is in place and up to date
- Maintain records and a database of legal service providers
- Assist in maintaining legal opinions database
- Attend to adhoc requests emanating from the Legal Services management
Minimum Qualification: Law Degree (LLB)
