Background & Job Description
The Salesperson will play a critical role in generating sales, meeting performance targets, and delivering exceptional customer experiences. The successful candidate will be the face of the store, actively engaging with customers, recommending tailored solutions, and ensuring complete satisfaction throughout the shopping process. As a frontline sales ambassador, your main goal is to help customers find what they need while contributing to the profitability and long-term success of the business.
Tasks
- Drive in-store sales through proactive engagement with customers
- Meet and exceed daily, weekly, and monthly sales targets
- Maintain attractive and organized merchandise displays to entice potential buyers
- Execute all sales transactions including cash and credit card processing in accordance with company policies
- Deliver exceptional customer service, ensuring every customer leaves satisfied
- Identify customer needs and recommend appropriate products and solutions
- Retain and build strong customer relationships through consistent follow-up
- Uphold company values and service standards in all interactions
- Work collaboratively with other team members to create a cohesive sales environment
- Stay updated on product knowledge, features, and current promotions
- Ensure all admin and sales documentation is completed accurately
Qualifications
- Matric Certificate (Grade 12 or equivalent)
Experience
- Between 7 to 12 months of proven sales experience, preferably within the retail sector
- Experience in dealing with customers and closing sales in a fast-paced retail environment
- Exposure to electronic products and technology sales is highly advantageous
