This programme will empower 20 young people from the City of Johannesburg with hands-on work experience and classroom-based training in the world of theatre and technical production. What You’ll Be Doing

Participants in the Learnership will:

• Attend structured classroom sessions covering live event technical production theory
• Gain practical work experience in a professional theatre environment
• Assist with the technical setup of stage equipment including lighting, sound, and audio-visual tools
• Learn to operate backstage systems during live performances and rehearsals
• Work under professional technicians to understand industry standards and safety procedures
• Be evaluated on both theory and practical components throughout the programme

Requirements:

• Highest Standard passed: Grade 10 or 11 or 12 only
