Rank and Employment Offers:
- Successful candidates will be appointed as STF Operators/Members at the rank of Warrant Officer.
- Individuals who previously held a rank of Captain or higher may be offered an equivalent rank, contingent upon available positions.
- A five-year contract with SAPS is required for successful candidates.
Eligibility Requirements:
- Valid driver’s license and firearm competency.
- Compliance with National Instruction 18 of 2019 (Integrity Management) regarding Remunerative Work.
- Successful completion of fitness and shooting evaluations.
- Completion of refresher or conversion courses.
- Confirmation of suitability for appointment.
Application Process:
Interested candidates must submit a written expression of interest by 31 July 2024. Following this, candidates will receive a written salary offer for review and acceptance. Formal appointment is contingent upon the issuance of an official appointment letter.
Candidates who are offered employment must undergo a comprehensive vetting process, which includes submitting various documents such as:
- Updated Curriculum Vitae (CV)
- Certificate of acceptance of the post and salary offer
- Certificate of unauthorized disclosure of information
- Code of Conduct
- WP1002 form
- Nomination of beneficiaries (Death Grant)
- Proof of registration with the South African Revenue Service (SARS)
- Fingerprints and AFIS report from LCRC
- Certificate from the candidate’s Commander confirming no pending criminal/departmental cases or investigations, or criminal/departmental convictions upon resignation from the Service
- Confirmation of acceptance of duty
