Minimum Requirements:

• Grade 12 (NQF Level 4) or an equivalent N3 qualification (with at least two languages passed)
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a mining operation
• Medically fit for duty, confirmed through a risk-based medical examination at the Gold Fields Occupational Health Centre
• Must pass a Heat Tolerance Screening Test and any other assessments required for suitability
• Applicants must meet one of the following community-based criteria:
  • Be a resident of one of the host communities: Bekkersdaal, Zuurberkom, Thusanang, Hillshaven, Westonaria, Poortjie, Simunye, Kalbasfontein, or Jachtfontein
  • Have successfully completed Grade 12 or Matric at a school located within one of the host communities mentioned above

Role Responsibility:

• Commit to and comply with all mine safety rules, procedures, and health regulations
• Actively participate in all technical training sessions and modules prescribed by the Mining Qualifications Authority (MQA) and Department of Mineral Resources and Energy (DMRE)
• Maintain a consistent level of performance in technical evaluation cycles
• Engage meaningfully with HRD and mentors to track and improve performance throughout the training programme
• Abide by company policies, employment conditions, and the organisational Code of Conduct
• Demonstrate a positive attitude and willingness to work in a team-based environment
