- Must be a South African citizen
- Must be between the ages of 18 and 25 years
- Must reside in or close to the area where the learnership opportunity is available
- Must have a matric certificate or statement of results as proof that they passed matric in 2023 or prior
- Should not have previously participated in any SETA-funded initiative
- Should not be currently engaged in any post-Matric studies or formal employment
