Job Description

As part of the YES Learnership Programme, successful candidates will gain extensive exposure to different aspects of warehouse operations within Motus brands such as Parts Incorporated Africa, Alert Engine Parts, Midas, and Afinta Parts. Learners will be trained in essential warehousing functions that are vital to the success of any automotive parts business.

Responsibilities during the learnership will include:

  • Receiving and binning of incoming stock according to standard operating procedures
  • Ensuring accurate placement of items in assigned bin locations
  • Performing replenishment tasks from bulk storage to pick locations
  • Picking of orders for branches and customers, ensuring timeliness and accuracy
  • Following company processes to meet customer satisfaction targets
  • Carrying out daily housekeeping tasks to ensure warehouse cleanliness and safety
  • Participating in stock-take activities and maintaining inventory integrity
  • Operating and controlling scanners for tracking and recording inventory movements

This experience is tailored to equip participants with practical workplace skills and a deeper understanding of the supply chain in the automotive sector.


Ideal Candidate

To qualify for this YES Learnership opportunity, candidates must meet the following requirements:

  • Must have completed Grade 12/Matric
  • Must be a South African Citizen
  • Aged between 18 and 25 years
  • Currently unemployed and not studying
  • Not previously registered on any YES Learnership
  • Available to start immediately

  • Clear certified copy of your ID (not older than 3 months)
  • Clear certified copy of your Matric certificate (not older than 3 months)

Role Responsibility

Learners in the program will undertake various tasks as they rotate through different warehousing and logistics functions. Duties and responsibilities include:

  • Binning:
    • Allocating incoming stock to correct bin locations
    • Updating and reporting bin location changes
    • Performing replenishment from bulk to pick bins
  • Receiving & Picking:
    • Ensuring all received goods are verified and documented
    • Picking orders accurately and within specified timeframes
    • Double-checking items before dispatch to ensure high customer satisfaction
  • Scanner Control:
    • Issuing scanners to operators and managing scanner inventory
    • Recording scanner movements electronically
    • Reporting scanner faults or damage to supervisors
  • Operational Support:
    • Following all instructions from supervisors
    • Maintaining neat and clean workspaces
    • Assisting in physical stock-taking processes

This role is physically demanding and requires a high level of accuracy and attention to detail. The ideal candidate must be comfortable working in a fast-paced and structured environment.
