Salary and Benefits

The salary range for the positions is R 137,526.77 to R 157,246.73 per annum. Additionally, employees will enjoy several benefits, including:

Job Descriptions and Qualifications

1. Cleaners (7 Posts)

Cleaners play a crucial role in maintaining the cleanliness and hygiene of municipal facilities. The responsibilities include cleaning offices, corridors, restrooms, and other designated areas. The role demands attention to detail and the ability to perform physically demanding tasks.

Qualifications:

• Minimum educational requirement: Grade 7 (Standard 5)
• A clear criminal record is mandatory.

Requirements:

• Ability to perform hard physical work in various and sometimes challenging environments.
• Honesty and reliability are essential traits.
• Initiative and a proactive approach to tasks.
• Must be healthy and physically fit.
• Capability to lift heavy objects (ranging from 5 to 20 kg).

2. Social Workers (35 Posts)

Social Workers are vital in providing support and assistance to community members facing various social challenges. They work to improve the well-being of individuals and families through counseling, advocacy, and connecting them with necessary resources and services.

Qualifications:

• A relevant degree in Social Work from an accredited institution.
• Registration with the South African Council for Social Service Professions (SACSSP).
• A valid driver’s license.

Requirements:

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information.
• Strong problem-solving and organizational abilities.
• Empathy, patience, and a genuine desire to help others.
• Previous experience in social work or related fields is advantageous.
