As a Sales Assistant at Old Khaki, you will be at the forefront of the customer experience—providing exceptional service, maintaining merchandising standards, and driving store performance.
Tasks
- Deliver an outstanding customer experience by utilizing effective selling techniques
- Apply and maintain stock loss controls within the store
- Meet and exceed individual sales targets consistently
- Identify sales opportunities and proactively drive turnover
- Maintain high housekeeping standards and visual merchandising practices
- Foster a fun and inspiring environment that promotes brand loyalty
- Process customer transactions efficiently—handling cash, card, voucher, and coupon payments
- Ensure all merchandise leaving the store is correctly scanned and paid for
- Handle loyalty card processes, including accelerated partner promotions
- Build and maintain professional relationships with customers
- Provide courteous and knowledgeable assistance with customer queries and complaints
- Accurately report compliments and complaints to management
- Address and resolve customer stock inquiries effectively
Qualifications
- Essential:
- Matric (Grade 12) or Equivalent Qualification
Experience
- Essential:
- Up to 6 months of experience in a retail environment
- Advantageous:
- 1 year retail experience
- Basic Microsoft computer proficiency
- Familiarity with current fashion and clothing trends
- Ability to communicate clearly and professionally
