Old Mutual Bursaries for Acturial Science and Chartered Account 2024/2025 The Old Mutual Bursary Programme presents an opportunity to contribute to Africa’s success story. Outstanding South African students interested in or pursuing studies in Actuarial Science are encouraged to apply for the Old Mutual Bursary Programme. Bursary Coverage:

The bursary includes coverage for tuition, study materials, meals, accommodation in residence, and return flights home (for students studying outside their hometown). Financial support is provided for the duration of the degree, with additional incentives for students achieving excellent grades.

Eligibility Requirements:

  • Applicants must be South African citizens.
  • Completed Matric or currently enrolled in Matric.
  • No post-Matric qualification.
  • Age under 21.
  • Minimum 80% in Mathematics (excluding Maths Literacy).
  • Minimum 60% for English HL or 70% for English FAL.
  • Minimum 70% in all other subjects.
  • Applied to or studying at specified universities.
  • Committed to qualifying as an actuary and working for the company post-graduation.

Application Process:

  • Submit applications online through the Old Mutual Actuarial Bursary portal.
  • Complete the Bursary Motivation Form and online application, including a gamified assessment.
  • Attach a One-pager CV.
  • Shortlisted candidates will be invited to complete psychometric assessments.
  • Finalists will attend a selection day for interviews.
  • Provisional offers will be extended, pending final Matric results and proof of university acceptance for Actuarial Science or Accounting Science programmes.
