Job Description
As a Griller at Pedros, your primary responsibility will be to ensure high-quality food preparation and delivery, maintaining both food and hygiene standards in accordance with the company’s standard operating procedures (SOPs). You’ll work closely with the kitchen team to ensure that all meals are cooked to perfection, served hot and fresh, and presented in a way that reflects Pedros’ dedication to culinary excellence.

Duties and Responsibilities:
- Prepare and grill all menu items in accordance with standard operating procedures (SOPs)
- Maintain speed of service while ensuring meal quality and safety
- Monitor cooking times and temperatures to ensure food safety
- Follow cleaning schedules and ensure the grill area is always hygienic
- Inspect raw food items for quality before cooking
- Use kitchen equipment responsibly and in accordance with safety standards
- Work collaboratively with kitchen team to meet peak demand periods
- Comply with health and safety regulations at all times
- Engage with customers when required, offering professional and courteous service
- Assist with stock rotation and waste reduction
Requirements
To be considered for the Griller position at Pedros Tsakane Mall, candidates must meet the following criteria:
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in a restaurant or fast-food environment
- Demonstrated ability to grill or prepare fast food meals efficiently
- Customer service experience in a similar setting is highly advantageous
- Ability to follow instructions and adhere to SOPs strictly
- Must hold a National Senior Certificate (Grade 12) or equivalent qualification
- Good verbal communication skills in English and/or local languages
- Ability to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays
- Team-oriented mindset and a passion for delivering quality food
- Able to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
