The key goal of this position is to initiate, drive, and implement skills development programmes across the company. The aim is to ensure that these initiatives align with the company’s Skills Development and BEE plans, ensuring the growth and development of all employees.

Key Responsibilities

As a Skills Development Officer at Pep, your duties will include:

  • Assisting in the implementation of Skills Development programmes.
  • Ensuring the certification of learners and the successful completion of development programmes.
  • Maintaining strong relationship management with stakeholders involved in the skills development process.
  • Taking on various ad hoc responsibilities as required to support the team.

Requirements for the Job

To qualify for the Skills Development Officer role, applicants must meet the following criteria:

  • A relevant diploma or degree in Human Resources (Training and Development) or Retail Management (Essential).
  • At least two years of experience in HR or retail management.
  • Experience in training and development will be a strong advantage.
  • Skills Development facilitation experience is also an added benefit.
  • Strong computer literacy with proficiency in MS Office or Google Suite.
  • Excellent administrative skills and numerical literacy.
  • A good understanding of SETA funding processes and accredited programme delivery (such as learnerships, internships, and skills programmes).
  • A Code 8 driver’s license is required.
  • Willingness to travel across South Africa as part of the job.
  • The ability to independently attend external Skills Development engagements.
