PRASA Graduate Programme 2024 If you’re passionate about building a career in Human Resource Management, PRASA is offering an exciting opportunity through its Graduate in Training (GIT) Programme. Located at Umjantshi House in Johannesburg, this 12-month program provides recent graduates with the chance to gain hands-on experience and develop essential HR skills.

This position is specifically tailored for fresh graduates eager to explore the HR sector and make meaningful contributions to the Human Capital Management Department.

Minimum Requirements

To be eligible for the Graduate in Training: Human Resource Management program, candidates must meet the following criteria:

Qualification

  • National Diploma in Human Resources Management (NQF Level 6)

Experience

  • No prior experience required
  • Candidates will undergo a selection process. Successful applicants will be placed accordingly to start their journey with PRASA.

Key Performance Areas (KPAs)

Throughout the 12-month program, the selected graduates will be involved in various key tasks, gaining exposure to critical aspects of HR operations:

  • Administrative Support: Provide comprehensive administrative assistance.
  • Performance Agreements: Coordinate and capture employee performance agreements.
  • Skills Development Reporting: Capture and report on Personal Development Plans (PDPs) to guide skills development strategies.
  • Learning Program Assessment: Evaluate the registration and accreditation of learning programs and qualifications.
  • Induction Programs: Facilitate and coordinate new staff induction.
  • Quarterly Reporting: Compile progress reports on PDP achievements and skills development initiatives.

The ideal candidate for this program will possess the following skills, knowledge, and attributes to excel in the role:

Technical Knowledge and Training

  • MS Office Suite proficiency
  • Understanding of HR legislation and frameworks
  • Knowledge of Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA)
