Job Description: The successful candidate will be responsible for managing debtor accounts, updating financial records, and ensuring compliance with financial regulations. Ideal Candidate:
- Holds a National Diploma or Degree in Financial Accounting, Cost and Management Accounting, Accounting Sciences, Auditing, Credit Management, Financial Management, or Public Finance and Management.
- Has 2-3 years of experience in an accounts or finance environment.
- Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) may be considered in the selection process.
- Demonstrates integrity, honesty, and resilience.
- Possesses strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Is client service-oriented with excellent interpersonal skills.
- Works well under pressure and is highly organized.
- Has proficiency in computer literacy and financial management software.
- Exhibits strong written and verbal communication skills.
Role Responsibility:
- Maintain and update debtor records, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Process name changes and company detail updates for debtor accounts.
- Suspend or withdraw defaulting security service providers as per approvals.
- Reinstate suspended or withdrawn security service providers upon authorization.
- Address client queries and provide assistance within set timeframes.
- Reconcile debtor accounts, allocate receipts, and correct accounting records.
- Implement effective strategies to collect overdue accounts.
- Refer defaulting service providers to the Head of Accounts Receivables for further intervention.
- Prepare adjustment journals for financial corrections.
- Identify and refer irrecoverable transactions or amounts to the Head of Accounts Receivables for potential write-offs.
- Ensure strict compliance with all relevant statutes, including the PSIRA Act and PFMA.
- Adhere to company policies and financial business processes.
- Draft external communications, including letters, notices, and emails to security service providers.
