Programme Details
Position: Water and Wastewater Treatment Process Operations Learnership Programme (NQF Level 2)
Number of Positions: 25
Participants will undergo structured theoretical and practical training, enabling them to acquire skills essential for the operation and maintenance of water and wastewater treatment plants.
Eligibility Criteria
To qualify, applicants must meet the following requirements:
- Employment Status: Must be unemployed.
- Academic Background: Matric (Grade 12) with Mathematics and Physical Science at a minimum of Level 3 in each subject.
- Post-Matric Qualification: Applicants must not hold any completed post-matric qualification. (Failure to disclose any such qualification will lead to disqualification.)
- Learnership Registration: Applicants should not be registered in any learnership programme or institution for another qualification.
- Verification: Submission of a SAQA/NLRD verification report (accessible via the SAQA website).
- Citizenship: Must be a South African citizen with a valid SA ID.
- Age Requirement: Candidates should be aged between 18 and 35, aligning with NSDSIII guidelines.

Primary Responsibilities
As part of the programme, learners will engage in tasks including but not limited to:

- Conducting basic laboratory tests and equipment maintenance.
- Assisting with sampling procedures and data collection for analysis.
- Actively participating in theoretical classes, discussions, and group activities.
- Completing assignments, projects, and practical logbooks.
