As a SHE Intern, you will be a key player in supporting the implementation of Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) policies and procedures. This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about safety and committed to ensuring that workplace environments comply with health and safety regulations.
Key Responsibilities
As an intern at RCL Foods, you will have the opportunity to make a meaningful contribution to the SHEQ team. Here are some of the core responsibilities:
- Technical Support: Assist in the improvement, maintenance, and monitoring of existing management systems and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- HSE Compliance: Ensure that all company HSE processes and procedures are adhered to, contributing to a safe and compliant workplace.
- Incident Investigations: Gather and compile information for incident investigations and assist in reviewing and driving corrective actions.
- Risk Assessments: Conduct and review risk assessments to ensure workplace safety.
- Fire Safety and First Aid: Monitor fire extinguishers and first aid boxes, ensuring they are compliant, serviced, and accessible.
- CAPA System: Assist in driving the Corrective Actions and Preventative Actions (CAPA) system to address and prevent issues.
Minimum Requirements
To be considered for this SHE Intern position at RCL Foods, you must meet the following requirements:
- Matric/Grade 12: A high school diploma or equivalent is essential.
- Diploma in Health & Safety: A diploma in Health & Safety or ongoing studies towards one is required.
- SAMTRAC Certification: This certification is advantageous and will give you an edge in the application process.
