What is the Consultant: Medical Management role?


This position is responsible for implementing medical management activities, handling medical exceptions, and supporting the claims administration process. The role ensures accurate medical assessments, appropriate billing reviews, and adherence to RAF’s medical guidelines and treatment protocols.

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree or Advanced Diploma in Health Sciences/Medical-related qualification
  • Registration with HPCSA or SANCA
  • Minimum of 3 years’ relevant experience in a medical-related environment

Medical Management

  • Conduct medical assessments and compile injury assessment reports
  • Review bills and assess claims focusing on quality and appropriateness of care

What is the Manager: Occupational Health & Safety role?


The Manager: Occupational Health & Safety reports to the Senior Manager: Facilities Management and is responsible for managing and driving OHS across the organisation. The role ensures compliance with OHS legislation, manages safety programs, conducts risk assessments, and develops preventative strategies.

Minimum Requirements for Road Accident Fund (RAF) Vacancies

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Occupational Health and Safety or related qualification
  • Postgraduate qualification in OHS (advantageous)
  • 6 – 8 years’ relevant experience in an Occupational Health and Safety environment
