Background & Job Description

This initiative is targeted at unemployed youth across South Africa who are eager to develop their skills and gain entry into the banking and financial services industry.
The programme provides participants with an opportunity to gain valuable on-the-job experience in a high-performing sales and service environment. Beyond just work exposure, learners will also study towards a nationally recognised qualification.

Tasks
As part of the FNB Learnership Programme, selected candidates will:
- Engage directly with customers in various banking-related service and sales activities
- Promote FNB banking products and services to customers
- Handle client queries, complaints, and support requests with professionalism
- Achieve monthly sales and service targets as per branch requirements
- Develop effective communication and negotiation skills
- Learn practical banking operations and compliance standards
- Participate in training modules and complete learnership assignments and assessments
Qualifications
To be eligible for this opportunity, candidates must meet the following requirements:
- Must be a South African citizen
- Aged between 18–34 years old
- Must not be studying (full-time or part-time)
- Must be currently unemployed
- Must have a Grade 12 / Matric certificate
- Passionate about customer service and sales
- Willing to commit to a full-time learnership (study + work)
- Must have good verbal and written communication skills
- Must not have a criminal record
- Must not be blacklisted (financial clearance preferred)
Experience
No formal work experience is required. This programme is designed for young individuals with limited to no work experience who are seeking their first opportunity in a professional workplace.
