Job Description

The 2025 / 2026 Internship Programme is structured to give interns exposure to real work scenarios across various business units. Sage is currently accepting applications for the following internship roles:

• Sales Internship: Payroll
• Internship: Customer Experience
• Internship: Finance Operations

Minimum Requirements

Below are the minimum qualifications and requirements for each internship stream:

Sales Internship: Payroll

• A commerce-related qualification
• Preference will be given to candidates with a background in Accounting or Economics

Internship: Customer Experience

• Matric / Grade 12 certificate
• A diploma or degree qualification will be advantageous
• Basic computer literacy, particularly in Microsoft Office tools

Internship: Finance Operations

• A commerce qualification
• Preference will be given to candidates with specialization in Accounting or Economics

Role Responsibility

Interns will be responsible for assisting their respective teams with day-to-day operations, contributing to projects, and learning key industry practices. Specific responsibilities will vary by department, but may include:

Sales Internship: Payroll

• Supporting the payroll sales team with administrative and sales support tasks
• Assisting in lead generation and customer engagement
• Compiling sales reports and tracking client feedback

Internship: Customer Experience

• Supporting the customer support team with client queries and resolutions
• Engaging with customers through various channels (email, phone, web platforms)
• Providing feedback on customer satisfaction and service trends

Internship: Finance Operations

• Assisting the finance team with reconciliations, reports, and accounting entries
• Monitoring financial transactions and preparing supporting documentation
• Participating in monthly financial close processes and internal audits
