The intern will operate from Sage’s Midrand offices three times a week, engaging in hybrid working conditions that blend professional office exposure with the flexibility of remote work.
Tasks
As an Intern: Customer Experience at Sage, your daily tasks will include:
- Engaging telephonically with existing Sage customers
- Educating customers on using self-service platforms such as IVR and Customer Portals
- Addressing and resolving outstanding issues on customer accounts
- Logging interactions and updating internal systems
- Liaising with internal departments for resolution of customer issues
- Identifying and reporting recurring customer experience trends
- Assisting accountants, partners, and business clients with service queries
- Delivering timely communication to Customer Experience leads
Qualifications
To qualify for this Customer Experience Internship, candidates must meet the following criteria:
- A Grade 12 Matric Certificate is essential
- A tertiary qualification (National Diploma or Degree) is an added advantage
- Basic computer literacy, especially in Microsoft Office
- Clear criminal record
- Strong communication abilities, both verbal and written
- Excellent telephonic etiquette and interpersonal skills
Experience
While prior work experience is not mandatory, the ideal candidate should:
- Be passionate about customer service and technology
- Possess a solid understanding of clients within the Accounting, Payroll, and HR sectors
- Demonstrate eagerness to learn and develop professionally
- Be able to work independently and as part of a team
- Show initiative, motivation, and a proactive approach to challenges
