INTERN

Duration: One-Year Contract

The SAMRC extends an invitation to graduates in health/biomedical sciences or developmental/administrative studies to apply and participate in a research management internship opportunity available in the Research Capacity Development Division (Cape Town Office) as indicated below.

The SAMRC’s Research Capacity Development Division is a well-established funding division responsible for managing streamlined funding programmes including scholarships and research career development grants to support the growth of health research capacity by offering strategic capacity development awards directly contributing to National Targets for research capacity development and transformation. The incumbent will be reporting to the Career award’s Programme manager and will be integrated within the RCD Grant Portfolio, administering both pre- and post-awards processes.

Core Requirements:• Min Qualification: 3-year Degree in Health or Biomedical Sciences or Developmental or Administrative Studies or similar relevant qualification or higher

• Computer literate with proficient use of Microsoft Office including Excel and Teams• Ability to communicate effectivelyAdvantageous• BSc (Honours) or BTech or a postgraduate diploma will be considered as an advantage.
